It is strange how fall creeps up on us...with a quick turn of a corner the summer months are over and crisper days have arrived. I think fall holds a warm and nostalgic place in a lot our hearts... watching the leaves slowly change, air that feels like a fresh breath, laying under a thick layer of blankets while the sun rises, sipping hot tea and pumpkin spice lattes, and in fashion, getting to layer in cozy sweaters, over the knee socks, boots, and beanies. The fall weather doesn't reach it's full extent where I live, but when the weather dips below 65˚ I take full advantage to indulge is all of fall's clichés. This was one of the first days when it really felt like a true autumn day. So over the knee socks, black boots and a new Free People duster seemed like a good choice to check out a local art museum and sip tea with my wonderful mother.
